From 1 July 2010, the NSW Home Builder’s Bonus provides:

Zero stamp duty for off-the-plan purchases of new homes – saving up to $22 490 for buyers of a new house or apartment worth up to $600 000 in the pre-construction stage.

Zero stamp duty for purchases of vacant land – saving up to $13 490 for buyers of vacant land worth up to $400 000.

25 per cent stamp duty discount on off-the-plan purchases already under construction, or newly-constructed homes – saving up to $5 623.

Up to $29 490 in benefits for first home buyers who buy off-the-plan in the pre-construction stage.

Zero stamp duty for over-65 “empty-nesters” who sell their family home and downsize to a newly-constructed home worth up to $600 000.
The NSW Home Builder’s Bonus will run for two years, until 30 June 2012.
