Professional Background
Andrew joined the firm in early January 2010 as a summer clerk and is entering his final year of study at the University of Western Sydney (UWS), completing his Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws. Andrew looks forward to completing many electives this year which will assist in his career at Champion, including Media Law & Defamation, Law of Employment and Advocacy.
While studying at UWS, Andrew won the Champion Legal Prize for Excellence in Constitutional Law.
Current Practice
Andrew has been assisting primarily the Commercial Litigation team, but will rotate around the firm’s practice areas, and will gain experience in Family Law and Property matters.
His recent work has included:
- Assisting in the preparation of evidence and brief to counsel for pending litigation;
- Assisting with the drafting of deeds to enable wholly owned subsidiaries to file a joint set of financial documents. This involved revoking a previous application, and researching the necessary procedure to put in place a new application.
- Assisting with the execution of wills.
