Andrea Carnuccio

Professional Background

Andrea is currently approaching her last year of study of a Law degree with the University of Technology, Sydney.  She has previously completed a Commerce degree with Macquarie University.  Whilst studying, Andrea has been actively involved in various Advocacy and Skills competitions, excelling in Mooting and Client Interviewing. 

 

Andrea joined Champion Legal as a Summer Clerk in 2008 and has since stayed on with the firm in a similar capacity. 

 

Current Practice

Andrea’s main role is to assist the Commercial Litigation team but she also contributes to other departments including Corporate Law and Family Law when needed.

 

Andrea’s recent work includes:

·          Assisting in drafting of Wills, in particular where family businesses are involved.

·          Instructing Counsel in a Family Law matter focused on resolving the amount of time the children were to spend with each parent.

·          Research of legislation and procedure relating to Child Support payments specifically related to instances where there is uncertainty regarding the biological father.

·          Research of the Family Law Amendment (De Facto Financial Matters and Other Measures) Bill 2008 and the impacts on various household relationships.

·          Research of the OnLine Court System and attendance at a demonstration of the system held by Judge Delaney.

·          Research of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules (NSW).

·          Research of the Fair Work Bill 2008.

·          Inspecting documents for various Family Law matters.
