Professional background
Bill Morrissey, M.Com, Dip. HRM, CAHRI, PMAACC. heads up our human resources consultancy, Champion Pathfinder. Champion Pathfinder works with clients to guide and support them through the sometimes difficult area of People Management and to optimise the outcomes for “our most valuable asset”.
Bill has extensive experience in this field with over 20 years corporate experience and he currently lectures at UNSW, UWS, Macquarie and ACU universities in Australia and Sun Yat-Sen and South China University of Technology in China. He has an extensive and impressive client base and Champion Legal has worked closely with him over a number of years through Pathfinder Human Resources prior to 1999 when our Joint Venture was formed.
He is also a Board member of the Western Sydney Business Connection, a leading professional association supporting the business community in Greater Sydney and he is the co-author of a popular CCH book, Effective Recruitment and Selection.
Current Experience
- Developed an online recruitment questionnaire for a national employer of trainees and apprentices
- Facilitated annual and ongoing Performance Management program for medium sized company
- Facilitated a Management Training Program twice yearly for a National Professional organisation
- Facilitated Management Training Program for overseas delegates from China and South Korea
- Developed closed and public seminars on Human Resources and Industrial Relations current issues
In recent times Champion Pathfinder has undertaken:
- Appointment of CEO of a large manufacturing organisation employing over 600 staff
- Appointment of CEO of a long established service organisation
- Recruitment of National Project Manager for a building company
- Supported Senior Managers in transition from one position to another after retrenchment
- Re-written policies, procedures and delegations for large Public Sector organisation
- Conducted Senior Management program on Sexual Harassment in the workplace for an International Transport Company
- Co-developed a Change Management program for a large State Government Agency
- Developed a Performance Based motivation and remuneration program for a Small to Medium Printing Company
- Consulted to a Leading Real Estate Agency to develop strategies for attracting, developing and retaining Key Employees
