Leonie Blazey


Professional Background
Leonie gained her experience from the ‘ground up’ within a major Sydney law firm whilst studying for an Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies) at Southern Cross University as an external student. Having graduated with her Associate Degree in Law, Leonie went on to graduate in 2002 with a Bachelor of Laws from The University of New England.
 
Leonie conducted her own practice as a Licensed Conveyancer from 2003 to 2007 when she agreed to join forces with Champion Legal in order to be able to provide a wider range of services to clients.
 
She continues to be a Licensed Conveyancer and chooses to remain in property law in order to specialise in a growing and exciting field.
Leonie is also a Justice of the Peace.
 
Current Practice
Leonie provides advice on all aspects of Property work including sale and purchase, leasing, construction and development, contract law issues and title investigation.
 
Her recent work has included:
 
  • Providing advice and assistance to more than 200 clients on the sale or purchase of residential or commercial property;
  • The creation, on behalf of a large government authority, of a Restriction on the Use of Land by a Prescribed Authority having regard to an Environmental Offset Area;
  • On behalf of another government department, the creation of a Right of Access and Restriction on Use of Land with regard to fencing obligations;
  • Negotiation of terms for a Drainage Easement and the preparation of the Deed of Easement addressing such issues as access, consideration, potential liability and other relevant issues on behalf of a major development company.
