Suzanne is a Wills and Estate lawyer based in our Parramatta office. She has over 10 years’ experience assisting clients identify and manage their legal risks and obligations.
Suzanne has experience in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation.
In estate planning Suzanne advises clients on the documents they need to ensure their wishes are effectively carried out both during their lifetime and upon their passing. This advice covers drafting Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardian documents.
Suzanne has experience in all areas of estate administration including applying for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration and subsequently administrating the estate. This has included some complex estates containing both business and personal assets and intestate estates.
Suzanne has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants/executors in estate litigation matters. Her work includes advising clients as well as acting for them in settlement negotiations, mediations and Supreme Court proceedings. Where possible, Suzanne seeks to avoid protracted Court proceedings that are both costly and stressful to the parties. Instead, she will seek to settle matters via mediation or prior to the Hearing.
Suzanne has also worked in the commercial and dispute resolution area. She has advised clients on a range of commercial matters including: partnership disputes, contractual agreements and disputes, trade practices, insolvency, professional negligence and building and construction disputes.
Her dispute resolution experience has seen her act for both Plaintiffs and Defendants, acting in mediations, negotiations or in Court proceedings. She has conducted matters in the Supreme Court of NSW, District Court and Local Courts.
