ACTIONS
SPEAK
LOUDER

THAN
WORDS

  • For Hanesbrands’ owned manufacturing, distribution and offices we are working to use less power and water, reduce carbon emissions and focus on renewable electricity.
  • In Australia, as part of the Hanes Australasia Group, we are a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO). More sustainable packaging means less impact on the Australian environment.
  • By partnering with Australia’s first re-usable hanger program, we’re reusing our store hangers to divert them from landfill and reduce carbon emissions.

OUR CORE

Our people are the core of everything we do. They are the pulse that drives us, and we see each and every employee as a member of our family. That’s why we:

  • Treat employees fairly, with dignity and respect.
  • Support fundamental human rights for all people.
  • Provide safe and healthy workplaces.
  • Value diversity.
  • Ensure child or forced labor is never used.

Thriving individuals are the heart of healthy communities. That’s why, as part of the Hanes Australasia Group, we team up with charities to offer financial, volunteer and aid support where it's needed most, from remote and rural districts to the youngest and most vulnerable citizens.

GIVIT is a national not-for-profit which aims to alleviate poverty and help people in times of crisis by connecting those who have with those who need. By working with GIVIT, we’re not only bringing comfort to vulnerable Australians but also keeping items out of landfill.

Champion is a proud partner of HoMie, a social enterprise based in Melbourne, Australia that uses 100% of its profits to provide clothing, training and job opportunities to young people affected by homelessness or hardship. Through partnering with the HoMie crew, we've been able to help draw attention to the issue of youth homelessness and through an ongoing partnership with the HoMie Pathway Alliance Program.

We hold ourselves and our suppliers and are committed to human rights and responsible sourcing.. Read more about our global ethical sourcing program here.

Our parent company, Hanesbrands, has an established industry-leading ethical sourcing program which has been in place for more than 20 years. Our ethical sourcing program is accredited by the Fair Labor Association (FLA), a global leader in the promotion and protection of workers’ rights. This program monitors social compliance through ongoing annual assessments of factories to ensure compliance with our policies and identify any opportunities for continuous improvement.

We have been recognised by Baptist World Aid for our commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability. Champion, along with other brands in the Hanes family, achieved another grade A rating in their 2021 Ethical Fashion Report. In 2020, we were also recognised in the top tier of their COVID Fashion Report.
